Alira Place, Newcastle, NSW
Alira Place is an over 55’s Strata Title development consisting of 42 single level villas and a clubhouse for socialising and entertaining. The development provides secure independent living within a community atmosphere and is conveniently located 10 minutes from the city of Newcastle in the Hunter region of NSW. The development is close to public transport, shopping centres and medical services.
Project Design Brief
The developers maximised the site with 42 villas, reducing the space available for other infrastructure including the drainage system. Designers faced the challenge of ensuring the stormwater run-off was collected quickly to eliminate water hazards for the residents and their properties. The designers also wanted the carriageway widths to be as wide as possible. A space-saving compact and efficient drainage system was required.
